Object size and print size are different

A mug height alone does not tell you its printable area. Check spaces near handles, seams and folds. Identify whether each PDF measurement describes the whole object or the artwork area, and compare it with the maker’s template.

Check both the preview and the artwork

A three-dimensional product preview shows the intended appearance. A maker may need separate flat artwork or another file type. Check clarity at the final size, readable lettering, and front versus back. Ask which production files the maker requires.

Compare versions after adding words

Keep the version without words separate from the version with a message. Check names, dates and spelling yourself, then choose the final version. Confirm lettering size against the object’s real print area with the maker; zooming in on screen is not enough.

Before sending the PDF

List quantity, material, intended size, final artwork and desired delivery date for each item. A maker PDF supports a production request; it is not a universally approved manufacturing drawing. Confirm feasibility, final price and schedule, and request a sample when needed.
